Is Colour Catcher effective on all fabrics?

Yes. All fabric dyes contain negative ions and are therefore attracted to the positive charges on the Colour Catcher sheets. However, please ensure to follow the garment manufacturer’s instructions on the care label.

Can I use Colour Catcher for new fabrics?

It is recommended to increase the number of sheets when washing new fabrics with Colour Catcher.

Can I put the Colour Catcher sheet on top of my laundry or does it have to go underneath?

We recommend you place the sheet flat at the bottom of the drum before adding your laundry to prevent the sheet becoming trapped during the wash cycle.

How many Colour Catcher sheets should I use?

Certain fabrics are more susceptable to colour runs; red or dark colour fabrics and cotton garments. To ensure maximum effectiveness for items with poor colour fastness use 2 or 3 sheets. New, coloured garments should be washed separately for at least the first 5 or 6 washes whilst certain large dark coloured items, such as jeans and towels, should be washed separately.

Disclaimer

  • Dark and intense coloured fabrics, cotton and non-colour fast garments are more susceptible to colour runs. For such cases, it is recommended to increase the number of sheets.
  • Reasonable care should be taken if mixing of colours with whites.
  • New coloured garments may need to be washed separately for first few washes.
